Without a mental map of a place, every decision is mediated through a search. You Google where to eat. You follow turn-by-turn directions. You end up somewhere arbitrary because nothing is in your head to reach for. You get lost in new places. You don't remember the things around you.

With a mental map, you just know. When someone says "where should we go?" you have an answer. Not because you looked it up, but because it's in you.

How it works
